素娜．祖巴特打破西非吟遊詩人只傳男丁的傳統，成為首位女性繼承者，在這個示範講座裡，她將會介紹西非獨特的音樂文化，並邊彈邊唱，親身示範吟遊詩人專用樂器──非洲豎琴的演奏特色和技巧。觀眾更可透過現場問答，深入了解西非的音樂文化。

Sona Jobarteh is the first female kora virtuoso, breaking the West African griot tradition previously handed down from father to son. Here, Jobarteh introduces the region’s unique musical culture and distinctive instruments used exclusively by griots, and performs vocal extracts from traditional works. A question-and-answer session on Western African music is also included.
