China has formulated the One Belt, One Road (OBOR) framework with a view to ensure economic development by integrating a number of countries in Asia, Africa and Europe through two main components, the land-based "Silk Road Economic Belt" (SREB) and oceangoing "Maritime Silk Road" (MSR) to which the Indian Ocean and the South China Seas are central. The Seminar will focus on opening a dialogue on how greater synergy can be achieved between the Africa’s Agenda 2063 and the OBOR and Hong Kong’s role as a platform for financing of infrastructure projects and its related financial services.
