Documentary photographer, author & public speaker, Matthew Willman, brings to his audience the remarkable true story of his journey to one day shake the hand of Nelson Mandela. This goal to meet Mandela gave birth to a professional career in documentary photography. For over 21 years Willman's work across Southern & East Africa has afforded him the opportunity to engage intimately with a cross section of communities on the periphery of society. Willman reveals not only his work with Nelson Mandela as a commissioned photographer to this great man but also his deep understanding of his subject matter that is today highly regarded by the NGO sector around the world.
